Laurentzi de Sasia, PhD
Philosophy PhD, University of St Andrews, and Existential Analysis counselling.
My journey into philosophy, which eventually led me to counselling, began in 2009 when I took my first philosophy courses at Uni. At the time I was a student dealing with severe depression and felt completely lost. It was, however, in the study of the theories of the greatest minds where I found the ideas that helped me better navigate my condition and everything it entailed. Equipped with these, I was able to gradually find my way back to life.
My passion for philosophy led my studies until I eventually obtained a bachelor's in philosophy, and a master's in philosophy at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC), which then led me to a joint-PhD in Philosophy from University of St Andrews (Scotland) and PUC, awarded summa cum laude.

During my studies in philosophy, mostly focused on practical reason and its theory, I noticed that feelings were a crucial component that also needed to be properly understood and integrated to provide true growth and healing.
This led me to graduate as a counsellor in Existential Analysis (Society for Logotherapy and Existential Analysis, GLE), a contemporary counselling approach based in Vienna, Austria. It expands upon Viktor Frankl's logotherapy by providing a more comprehensive perspective, effective in dealing with issues such as feelings of anxiety and depression, low self-esteem, lack of meaning, and other challenges common in today's world.

I have been successfully working with people from all over the world since 2022. My experience as a patient, the knowledge I have gathered in my studies, and my experience as a counsellor have culminated Aletheia, a safe space for those requiring support in navigating today's world or simply seeking to better undestand themselves.
